Ultima Necat, a World of Warcraft guild (Cho'Gall server)
Creating a functional gaming community website.
World of Warcraft is a Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game. Players can find various challenges inside the game: the main goal of the Ultima Necat guild (group of 50+ players) was exploring and achieving the whole high level (high difficulty) content offered by the game.
My goal was to provide the guild with any tool that a gaming community needs in order to communicate: a forum for inside communication and organisation, and a blog to display our latest achievements, as outside communication.
Some game related tools were also integrated to the website: an agenda to plan our raids, and a point system to fairly distribute in-game rewards.
My participation to this project was not only limited by web content creation, but also included team management. I’ve had the chance to settle, manage and organize this playing community for over a year.
First version (offline) realized in 2005, with custom webdesign and original illustration.
